The East Neuk of Fife isn't all about cute fishing villages and old harbours. A couple of miles inland from St Monans, Kellie Castle's 17th century tower house stands proudly amongst beautiful gardens. Luxurious furniture and ornamental ceilings make it clear that defence hasn't always been the priority here - instead, constant modernisation occurred as priorities changed despite the exterior staying the same.
