Walk: Kyleakin woods - over the trees to Skye

[The Skye Bridge dominates the first and last sections of the walk]

If you arrive on Skye via the bridge, Kyleakin will be the first village you come to. This quiet and easy Forestry Commission circuit through the woods just west of the houses is a great intro to the island, first with views back over the bridge, then out to sea and towards Raasay. Finally the Red Hills and Kylerhea Hills are revealed to the west and south once the summit of Cnoc a' Mhadaidh-ruai... well, once the summit is reached anyway.
