Craignish Old Parish Church

[Craignish Old Parish Church]

This ruined chapel on the Craignish Peninsula beyond Ardfern may be small and roofless, but it houses a collection of over a dozen graveslabs and tombs - mostly from the 1400s and 1500s - sporting many fine carvings. Information sheets inside the shelter protecting the stones help you pick out the highlights. The church itself is even older (probably early 11th century) with sweeping views up and down Loch Craignish.
