White Castle

East Lothian | Garvald | Fort |

[White Castle]

White Castle is an unexcavated, early Iron Age hill fort with a prominent position on the northern edge of the Lammermuir Hills. The outer defensive ditches can be clearly seen from the road which passes the fort's south side - or even more clearly from the hillside just above. Worth a short detour if you're in the wider area.
