Poball Fhinn

North Uist | Clachan | Stone circle | ★★

[Poball Fhinn]

Not many of Scotland's stone circles have a more beautiful outlook than Poball Fhinn (Finn's People) - the only stone circle on North Uist. This oval monument still incorporates at least 20 stones - despite some gaps - and measures about 35 metres at its widest point. There are fantastic views across Loch Langais with the summit of Eaval on the horizon, though the nearby summit of Beinn Langais offers an even better vista.
